1. Srinagar – The capital of J&K UT and the Heart of Paradise Kashmir is Srinagar. Srinagar lies along the banks of Jhelum River and the shores of Dal Lake and Anchar Lake between Hari Parbat and Shankaracharya Hills. It is a picture-perfect city that looks absolutely magnificent. Dal Lake is the Jewel of Srinagar. A trip to Srinagar is incomplete without spending some time in this beautiful lake and you can also stay in colourful houseboats. Dal Lake also offer a unique floating vegetable market which is really an experience in itself. You can take Shikara to get to that market. 2. Gulmarg – Gulmarg is the biggest tourist attraction in Kashmir. It is the snow paradise of Kashmir. Gulmarg have one of world’s highest and largest ropeway. This ropeway brings tourist from Gulmarg to top of Apharwat peak and the views that it offers from the top are definitely worth. 3. Sonamarg – Sonamarg literally means the meadow of Gold. It is named such because the peak surrounding the town appear golden, due to the light if setting sun. Zoji La Pass is the major tourist attraction in Sonamrg. It is High altitude pass (3528 M) that connects Kashmir to the beautiful Leh Ladakh. The pass remains covered in snow throughout the year. Another Major attraction Sonamarg is Thajiwas glacier. Situated at an altitude of over 10000 feet, you have to do a trek of about 3 kilometres. 4. Pahalgam – Pahalgam is best known for the clear pristine rivers, dene forests and exhilarating deep valleys. Pahalgam is surrounded by Lidder lake and betaab valley. 5. Gurez valley – Gurez valley is one the least explored valley of Kashmir. The Kishanganga River flows through the valley before merging into Jhelum River. Razdan pass is one of the most beautiful and only pass between Gurez and Srinagar. You can camp near KishanGanga River which is one of the most enthralling experience.
